Investigators are looking for a "parallel business" from Kekhman

This morning, in firms belonging to the owner of the JFC group (and part -time to the new head of the Novosibirsk Theater) Vladimir Kekhman, searches began, Vedomosti reports with reference to one of the group creditors. Police sees documents, seals and computers. The searches were confirmed by the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Firms in which searches are still unknown. According to the source, searches are held at once in several cities: Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Samara, Voronezh, Rostov, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The source also stated that the purpose of the search is to study the “parallel business” of Kekhman, the establishment of companies and nominal leaders attracted by Kekhman to conceal and withdraw previously stolen funds.

At the end of March, by decision of the Ministry of Culture, Vladimir Kekhman was appointed general director of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater, and since 2007 he is also the general director of the Mikhailovsky Theater.

In December 2012, according to Sberbank, a criminal case related to bankruptcy of his company was instituted against Kekhman - the debt amounted to 18 billion rubles. Kekhman himself entrusted with the guilt of Afanasyev and Zakharov, whom he entrusted with the management of the group, leaving to lead the theater. As a result, in September 2014, all three were charged.
