The program for the construction of hotels for the 2018 World Cup will be “cut” for 27 billion rubles

The Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation proposed reducing 27 billion rubles to financing hotel construction for the World Cup, scheduled for 2018. According to Rosbalt, citing the draft government decree, 25 events will be excluded from the program, fourteen will be adjusted to target guidelines, and nine objects will be replaced with equivalent ones.

So, according to the agency, some hotels will simply be changed by starry. And, for example, in Nizhny Novgorod it is proposed to cancel the construction of 14 hotels for fans at once.

The Ministry of Sports believe that thanks to the proposed changes, the total expenses for the preparation program for the 2018 World Cup will be reduced by 27 billion rubles - to 637.6 billion rubles.
