In April 2015, the Central District Court of Barnaul sentenced a student of one of the Altai colleges to 80 hours of compulsory work for distributing xenophobic videos on the Internet.
According to the investigation, the student downloaded a video clip in an Internet cafe " which contained incitement in the form of calls for hostile actions on ethnic grounds " and posted it for free access on his page on the VKontakte social network.
At the hearing, the convict admitted his guilt, repented of his deed, indicated that he did not assume that this act was a criminal offense.
The verdict of the court did not enter into force. Sources
