In the Samara region, a case was brought to court over photographs on the Internet

At the beginning of April 2015, in Novokuibyshevsk, Samara Region, a case concerning xenophobic photos on a social network was brought to court.

On April 9, 2015, the Investigative Department for Novokuybyshevsk of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Samara Region completed the investigation of a criminal case against a local resident accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred and enmity).

According to the investigation, from May 26 to August 31, 2014, the accused posted on the Internet page he created " information and photographs aimed at inciting hatred and enmity, as well as humiliating the dignity of a person and a group of persons on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language , origins and attitudes towards religion ".

The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the Novokuybyshevsky City Court of the Samara Region for consideration on the merits.
