Actors of the Pskov Academic Drama Theater, who wrote a letter to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky with a complaint about the immorality and political unreliability of the Bantier's production, did this under the pressure of the theater leadership. This was stated by the author of the play and director Varvara Faer.
"The acting director of the theater Tatyana Martynova called each artist and with persuasion, pressure and blackmail demanded that they sign a petition to Medinsky. Five artists out of 11 sign this petition, and signed a bunch of people who do not know what kind of project they were a petition, they were unlawfully left the play," said the author of the Banschik Russian News Service .
Faer explained the scandal around the conflict setting between the current and former leadership of the Pskov Drama Theater. She said that she was invited to the theater by the former artistic director Vasily Senin. It was he who belonged to the idea of setting a documentary play about the life of Pskov. According to Faer, the artistic director survived from the drama theater.
"The improvised artistic council was held on April 11. The theater’s leadership - the director and the artistic director, pursuing a certain policy of developing the culture of the region and bringing very interesting theaters, were dismissed. The acting and assistant Khudruk, who is not there, remained," the author of the play said.
The new leadership of the theater does everything so that the premiere does not take place, says Faer. The performance has only some costumes, and no one gives money for details and scenery, she noted. Some artists refused to participate in the play.
Faer calls his work, which caused discontent among the actors. Dialogs were written off from people on the streets.
“What people said, it turned out. There is stiffness, humor and certain sadness in the“ Banner ”, although the main character is morally very beautiful. He is simply waiting for a sad fate at the end of the performance,” Faer said.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the actors of the Pskov Academic Drama Theater wrote a letter to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky with a request to pay attention to the production of a documentary play about modern Pskov, in which the audience will hear obscenely abuse, see the naked drinking women in the bath and the evil King Carlick.
Actors emphasize that they are against any form of ideological components of state assignment, they do not want to stand performances about the right heroes. "But we do not want to be hostages of ambitions and political preferences of the director, we do not want to be involuntary supporters of the obscene for the sake of high effects," the authors of the letter explain.
I.O. Theater directors Tatyana Martynova regarded the actions of her colleagues as an attempt by artists to convey their opinion and the desire to avoid scandals similar to what happened due to the opera Tangaizer. If the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation as a founder decides to remove the “banner” from the repertoire, then, according to Martynova, they will meet the department.
At the same time, earlier today the theater press service stated that the Banchik play will not be banned or removed from the repertoire. The premiere, however, was postponed on May 14 and 15 in connection with the "unpreparedness of the production from a technical point of view."
Recall that recently the accusations of theatrical directors of immorality, insulting the feelings of believers, as well as an unacceptable distortion of the works of classics have become more frequent. The shares of Orthodox activists against the productions that were disturbing them became a rather frequent phenomenon, and the authorities in the person of the Ministry of Culture and investigative bodies began to intervene in the creative process.
The most loud scandal occurred with the Novosibirsk setting of Wagner’s opera Tangeyer. At the end of February, the Prosecutor's Office of Novosibirsk aroused the director Boris Mezdrich in relation to director Timofei Kulyabin and director of NGATOIB in part 2 of Article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ("Intentional public desecration of religious or worship, religious veneration, signs or emblem of worldview symbolics and attributes or their damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage or damage Destruction ").
The audit was carried out in response to letters of the Metropolitan of the Novosibirsk and Berdsky Tikhon, who saw in the production an insult to religious feelings. In the Kulyabin version, Jesus Christ is represented by the hero of the erotic film "The Grotto of Venus", which is shot by the director of Tangaizer.
In parallel, the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the region conducted a pre -investigation verification for the presence of a crime in the actions of Kulyabin and Mazhrich, provided for part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religions").
The magistrate of the Central District of Novosibirsk, Ekaterina Sorokina, terminated administrative cases against Kulyabin and Mazhrich for the lack of an offense. In particular, the conclusions of the religious scholars Boris Falikov (RSU) and Vladimir Vinokurov (Moscow State University), who noted that religious symbols and attributes were presented in the artistic context, were introduced to the materials of the case, and therefore are not sacred.
Later, the prosecutor's office appealed the decision, but then recalled its protest, after which on April 3, the Central District Court of Novosibirsk finally stopped the administrative cases of Mezdrich and Kulyabin.
On March 29, by order of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Mezdrich was dismissed . On March 31, the New Director of the theater Vladimir Kekhman removed the Tangaiser from the repertoire.
After the scandal with the Tangaiser, the presidential administration suggested in the future to censor the production in Russian guestars.
In support of the creators of the production and law of the artist, leading Russian cultural figures spoke to the freedom of creativity. Kino -Union published a statement with a demand to restore Mazhrich as a resignation of the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky. In addition, a petition appeared on the Internet, the authors of which are asking for the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill to remove the Metropolitan of Novosibirsk and Berda Tikhon. According to April 3, more than 1.8 thousand people signed under it.
