On April 17, 2015, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office sent a criminal case to court against one of the leaders of the extremist organization BORN ("Combat Organization Russian nationalists") and the leader of the organization "Russian Image" Ilya Goryachev. The indictment in the case approved by the Deputy Attorney General.
Recall that Goryachev is on trial "Combat Organization of Russian Nationalists" (BORN). The investigation considers that Goryachev was the direct organizer and ideologist of BORN, earlier Nikita Tikhonov, convicted of murdering lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova, was considered the founder.

The criminal case against I. Goryachev was sent to the Moscow City Court for consideration on the merits. Goryachev said he was going to petition for a trial by jury.
Initial the charge was brought against Goryachev in February 2013. Goryachev became prime suspect in the BORN case after Nikita Tikhonov testified against him . Ilya Goryachev left Russia, after which was put on the federal and then international wanted list. Goryachev was detained in May 2013 in Serbia and extradited to Russia.
On May 7, 2015, the Moscow City Court extended the detention of Ilya Goryachev until October 20. Preliminary hearings on I. Goryachev's case were postponed to May 15 due to the illness of his lawyer.
