Engels: convicted for publishing an audio clip on a social network

On April 21, 2015, a local resident was convicted in Engels, Saratov Region, for posting an audio clip on a social network.

On April 21, 2015, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Saratov Region announced that a sentence was passed under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity).

Recall that on April 11, 2013, a man posted on the VKontakte social network in the public domain an audio recording with statements " aimed at inciting hatred and enmity, as well as humiliating the dignity of a person and a group of persons on the basis of nationality ."

The court sentenced the Internet user to imprisonment for a period of 1 year 6 months probation. Sources
