A criminal case has been opened in Krasnodar in connection with an attempt to set fire to an Orthodox church

In Krasnodar, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 213 of the Criminal Code in connection with an attempt to set fire to the Orthodox Church of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky.

April 21, 2015 in Krasnodar in connection with an attempt arson of the Spiridonovsky temple, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 30, p. "b" h. 1 st. 213 of the Criminal Code (attempted hooliganism motivated by religious hatred).

Case filed against two men (born 1966 and 1968) detained on church property. During inspection, they seized plastic bottles containing flammable mixtures.

According to the employees of the center "E", " the suspects explained that the commission of their crimes were prompted by a negative attitude towards the Russian Church .”

In during the searches of the apartments of the detainees, three traumatic pistols were found, homemade cartridges and a rocket launcher. The weapons and ammunition have been handed over for examination.
