On April 20, 2015, a round table "Secularism" was held in St. state and realization of the rights of believers”. The event was organized Information and Analytical Center "SOVA" together with the St. Petersburg Christian university.
Goal round table - discussion of the problems of law enforcement of regulatory requirements for activities of religious organizations, analysis of legal innovations in this area, discussion of the relationship between the constitutional principle of secularism and the realization of rights believers, as well as other issues related to the functioning of religious organizations.
As part of round table presentations were made on the implementation of freedom of conscience in army (Anatoly Pchelintsev), protection of the feelings of believers (Ksenia Sergazina), basic trends in state-confessional relations (Inna Zagrebina), problems state religious expertise (Anna Shestova).
The funds provided under the project EIDHR/2014/348-053 “Combating all forms of discrimination based on religion and belief in the Russian Federation” funded by the European Union and presented by the European Commission were used in the preparation and implementation.
