Far-right activists detained in Moscow

On April 20, 2015, in Moscow, in the Seven club on Melnikova street, police officers detained about 40 people, including Dmitry Demushkin, one of the leaders of the Russian movement. Knives, brass knuckles and traumatic weapons were confiscated from young people. According to media reports, the detainees celebrated Hitler's birthday.

The detainees were taken to the police departments for verification.

Visitors to the Moscow club turned to the police with a message that a group of young people had arranged a party there in honor of Hitler's birthday. The police who arrived at the scene detained about 40 people, confiscated their weapons and Nazi symbols. A portrait of Hitler was also found in the club.

Demushkin later confirmed to the media that he had been detained at the theater center on Dubrovka. It has nothing to do with Hitler's birthday, he says. “We are 40 people, we are all detained. They don't charge anything, they just held them for a few hours. There is no Hitler. We gathered to discuss the tournament,” he said, explaining that we are talking about the upcoming knife fight tournament, which will be held on May 17. Regarding the seized weapons, Demushkin stated that they had permits and licenses.
