Chelyabinsk: extremist test for extremism

In May 2015, in the city of Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk Region, the prosecutor's office issued a warning to the head of the education department of the administration of the Kopeysk city district.

The act of the prosecutor's response was sent to the official in connection with the fact that his department prepared and distributed a test to schools to determine whether schoolchildren have a tendency to aggressive and extremist behavior, but as the test showed, the questions in the test are provocative in themselves and contribute to the emergence of extremist views.

Among others, the questionnaire used the following questions: “Should peoples live in their historical territory?”, “How do you feel about visitors from other countries?”, “Which nationalities should be banned from entering Russia?” and answers were given: "Jews", "Gypsies", "Caucasians" and others.

Scheduled testing among eighth graders has already been cancelled.
