The leader of the "Border of the North" is accused of torture using torture

In the Komi Republic, the leader of the Frontier of the North movement Alexei Kolegov is accused of torture with the use of torture as part of a group on preliminary conspiracy. We are talking about attacks by members of the organization on those whom they considered "pedophiles", carried out as part of the Occupy Pedophilia project. The Syktyvkar city court chose Kolegov as a measure of restraint in the form of arrest until June 28. The Supreme Court of Komi upheld the decision of the Syktyvkar court.

On May 18, 2015, the Supreme Court of the Komi Republic left the preventive measure in the form of arrest until June 28 to the leader of the North Frontier movement, Alexei Kolegov, unchanged. He is charged under part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code (torture with the use of torture as part of a group by prior agreement). He is charged with three such crimes. Two more activists were detained together with Kolegov the Occupy Pedophilia movement. " On behalf of underage teenagers, they met with Syktyvkar residents, offering a meeting. However, instead of schoolchildren were attended by members of the organization who beaten and tortured the participants of the virtual correspondence ".

Kolegov's lawyer did not agree with the city court's decision on detention and filed an appeal. The lawyer asked to appoint a preventive measure not related to deprivation of liberty. The defense lawyer noted that the criminal case is not particularly difficult, it is being investigated by a group of investigators, Kolegov has not been brought to administrative and criminal liability, he is not involved in the commission of the crimes accused of him; has income, permanent place of residence, a minor child, is characterized positively, is not aware of the place of residence of witnesses and victims. And he considers the arguments of the investigation and the court that Kolegov can put pressure on the victims and witnesses untenable and far-fetched.

Kolegov himself said that too severe a measure of restraint had been chosen for him. “ House arrest is also a strict measure. But still, it is an opportunity to be with a family, with a child, to eat normally. Please treat me with indulgence . Frontier of the North".

The representative of the prosecutor's office asked the court ruling to be left unchanged.

" The court took into account the severity and nature of the crimes of which Kolegov is accused ... These crimes are of increased public danger, since they were committed as part of an organized group. Previously, Kolegov was brought to administrative responsibility .... All this suggests that the accused can continue interfere with the proceedings by putting pressure on the victims and witnesses in order to change their testimony ," the prosecutor's worker said.

In the last word, Alexei Kolegov asked the court for leniency.

The Komi Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Syktyvkar city court on the election of Kolegov's arrest until June 28.

On September 11, 2015, the Supreme Court of the Komi Republic upheld the decision of the Syktyvkar City Court to extend the arrest to seven months to the leader of the organizations "Russian Syktyvkar" and "Frontier of the North" and Alexei Kolegov.
