The Magadan Regional Election Commission saw “extremism” in the RPR-PARNAS brochure

The Election Commission of the Magadan Region issued a warning to the RPR-PARNAS and banned the distribution of a campaign brochure about the illegal enrichment of officials.

June 26, 2015 lawyer of the Democratic Coalition Dmitry Krainev announced that the Election Commission of the Magadan Region announced the RPR-PARNAS warning. Members of the election commission saw in the campaign brochure about illegal enrichment of the authorities, prepared by the party, signs of excitement hatred towards the social group "officialdom" and issued a ban on distribution of material.

It is also reported that the election commission of the Magadan region intends to send materials about the brochure to the prosecutor's office for verification and issuance procedural decision.

The pamphlet "Stories of Illicit Enrichment" is distributed in region as part of the election campaign to the Magadan Regional Duma, in which the RPR-PARNAS lists include associates of Alexei Navalny from the Fund for Combating corruption. This publication deals with financial fraud government representatives.

The actions of the election commission of the Magadan region are presented to us illegal. Recall, we believe that officials are not a social group protected by anti-extremist legislation. Except Moreover, the Resolution of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of July 28, 2011 says , that " criticism in the media of officials (professional politicians), their actions and beliefs in itself should not regarded in all cases as an act of humiliation dignity of a person or a group of persons, since in relation to these persons the limits of acceptable criticism are wider than in relation to private individuals ."
