In Chuvashia, a criminal case has been initiated against an Internet user for notes on a social network

On July 1, 2015, a criminal case was initiated in Chuvashia against an Internet user for making notes on a social network.

On July 1, 2015, the Kanash Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the ICR for Chuvashia initiated a criminal case against a 46-year-old resident of the Ibresinsky district, suspected under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity).

According to investigators, in February and March 2015, the suspect posted on his social network account " texts-notes of an extremist nature, the content of which is aimed at inciting ethnic hatred, enmity and discord ."

According to available information, the suspect is registered with a psychiatrist, in connection with which, during the investigation of the criminal case, a forensic psychiatric examination will be appointed and carried out against him.
