The head of the community of Jehovah's Witnesses in the town of Teikovo was fined for possession of banned brochures.
On July 13, 2015 it became known that the founder of the local religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses in the city of Teikovo, Ivanovo Region was fined under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (storage of extremist materials for the purpose of their mass distribution).
According to the message of the Ivanovo transport prosecutor's office, employees of the Center for Emergencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Ivanovo Region during the search, conducted at the place of residence of the founder of the local organization of the Witnesses Jehovah, seized over 600 publications, more than 10 of which were banned.
Recall we We consider unlawful the practice of banning the literature of Jehovah's Witnesses for extremism and regard the persecution of this religious movement in Russia as discrimination.
