In July 2015, in Kazan, on the embankment of Lake Kaban, near one of the houses on Tatarstan Street, unknown vandals painted inscriptions " aimed at inciting hatred and enmity, as well as humiliating human dignity on the basis of attitude to religion ."
Similar inscriptions were found on the wall of one of the houses on Shchapova Street.
According to the facts, in the investigation department for the Vakhitovsky district of the city of Kazan, the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan initiated criminal cases under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic and religious hatred).
