Every time I find myself in the Moscow City Court, I think about Stas Markelov. He represented the interests of the victims in the case about the murder of the anti-fascist Ryukhin, and I came to court several times observer. As it turned out, Evgenia went there to support the accused Khasis, who later became an accomplice in the murder Markelov. Her civil husband Nikita Tikhonov was one of those whom Markelov demanded that Ryukhin be held accountable for the murder. From bullets Tikhonov and then Markelov will die. The basis of the prosecution at the trial Tikhonov and Khasis will be the testimony of Ilya Goryachev, their friend and colleague Tikhonov on the legal organization “Russian Image” and the illegal “Combat organizations of Russian nationalists” (BORN). Today in the Moscow City Court, Goryachev was given a life sentence for leadership in BORN. Evgenia Khasis gave the most striking evidence against Goryachev.

For many of us - Moscow and not only - human rights activists, anti-fascists, journalists, the BORN case has become the leitmotif of our lives in recent years. From the murder of Alexander Ryukhin before the current sentence of Ilya Goryachev. How my colleague put it, “a feeling of painful absurdity.” And I don't want to return all the time to this topic, and yet you come back. All new murders, threats, actions of memory, since some time - courts.

Courts, by the way, will still be. We will see new faces in this glass box of the Moscow City Court. I hope.

All people somehow involved in this company, including Goryachev himself, still have time to slap on each other new testimony. I think it will Interesting. Yes, and if you look at it from the point of view of the prosecutor's office, it will it is ridiculous if loud accusations against Goryachev of creating a gang and extremist community will not go beyond the actions of a couple friends, a few gopniks and a “misled” common-law wife Tikhonova Evgenia Khasis (she was not involved in the BORN case and repeatedly declared that Goryachev had deceived them and Tikhonov, that if not for him, then all the dead would be alive).

And we will continue to live our lives from time to time again plunging into this judicial stench, again experiencing the pain of losing people we know and don't know who are victims of this groups.

I remember another departed colleague whose keen eye and we miss the language. Galina Kozhevnikova liked to repeat that if writers and filmmakers really want to portray and expose in neo-Nazi villains in their work, then it is necessary to portray and expose them not in a frightening and militant guise, but in the courtroom, where they often militancy flies, where they spin like snakes in a frying pan, if only to avoid a more serious punishment for violence, if only to bargain for himself less appalling conditions. They easily give up their beliefs. And then this stench begins to come from them.

Lies, hypocrisy, cynicism - these are the words that can describe the process that ended today.

I will give a few examples.

Attack on Ryukhin was repeatedly called a street fight, and not so expressed only Tikhonov, Khasis, Goryachev, but also lawyers Polozov and Feigin, now representing the interests of Goryachev. This change of meaning also applied to broader confrontation between fa and antifa: as if this is confrontation on an equal footing with equal goals and equal means. But the blood anti-fascists killed by neo-Nazis cannot be scraped off like a stain on a parquet floor. Antifa, however, were not seen hunting with the intent to kill.

Evgenia Khasis, who is said to have a large swastika tattoo, giving testimony against Goryachev, she simply shouted to the jury in ecstasy: "We live in country that defeated fascism, our country is vaccinated against nationalism." When she said this with her mouth, it seemed to me that now she had frogs will start to fall out instead of words, but nothing. She, I think, she will show herself to us when she is released (she is left to sit on sentence of 15 years, but they can knock it off).

The murderer of anti-fascist Fyodor Filatov and a member of the Black Hawks group Rasul Khalilov, Mikhail Volkov, who during interrogation as a witness denied participation in a neo-Nazi group "Joint Brigades-88", but then reluctantly admitted that he was a member, so characterized the activities of this group: "There was a circle of young children for 16-17 years old, and we came up with all sorts of Boy Scout initiatives."

Another example of cynicism and a hypocritical attempt to flirt, to reduce political significance is the discussion of the photo against the backdrop of a freshly slaughtered ram at German Sterligov's dacha, referring to the famous photograph of the lynching in the United States. About him in the process Goryachev, witnesses spoke Evgeny Valyaev - the hero of Internet battles mid-2000s, former member of the “Russian Image” (“legal” organization Goryachev), and Nikita Tikhonov - the killer of Markelov and Baburova. Valyaev, who has something to lose, described him as follows: “German Lvovich allowed his professional sheep breeders to cook for us lamb to make soup. He was hung up because lamb meat rots quickly." Tikhonov, who has nothing to lose, called this photo nationalist joke. Such a joke.

What is everyone counting on? these playful Boy Scouts and deluded common-law wives, supposedly who had nothing to do with what their loved ones do, I don't understand. To mock those who sit behind bars in inhuman conditions, I I can’t, but such behavior is the best anti-propaganda of their views and activities.

I just want to ask: “Why did you kill so many people then?”
