The court extended the term of arrest for an employee of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchy and the Federal Security Service, accused of treason and spying for the United States.
On July 31, 2015 it became known that the Moscow City the court extended the term of arrest of Yevgeny Petrin, an employee of the FSB and the Department for External Church Relations Moscow Patriarchate, accused of treason and spying for the United States, to October 5, 2015.
Recall that the former DECR employee was arrested in June 2014 after a business trip to Ukraine. According to the investigation, he passed on secret information relating to the Russian Orthodox Church, foreign intelligence services.
The arrested person does not recognize his guilt and claims that the testimony was " extorted from him under torture ".
