On August 6, 2015, members of the Yngling Old Believers organization were detained in the Stavropol Territory.
On August 5, 2015, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory announced that two criminal cases had been opened in in relation to 5 members of religious groups suspected under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting a national hatred and enmity).
According to the investigation, the suspects, being followers of the Old Russian Inglistic Church of the Orthodox Old Believers-Ynglings, united in two separate religious groups in Pyatigorsk and Mineralnye Vody. To spread their ideas, religious members created pages on social networks, released and sold printed materials. The UPC reports that " Private members of the groups spread their beliefs about exclusivity and the superiority of one race and the inferiority of another. Also ideas were promoted that degraded groups of people on the basis of nationality, language and attitude to religion and".
Their activities were stopped by the FSB officers Russia for the Stavropol Territory and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Stavropol Territory.
About 30 people in the Stavropol Territory were searched in this case, said Vladimir Dyachenko, a representative of the Children of Perun society.
