The complaint of an Udmurt activist of the Progress Party was rejected

On August 17, 2015, the Supreme Court of the Udmurt Republic upheld a fine for displaying Nazi symbols, awarded to Izhevsk activist Timofey Klabukov, who reprinted material about right-wing parties participating in the forum in St. Petersburg.

August 17, 2015 The Supreme Court of the Udmurt Republic refused to satisfy the appeal of the activist of the "Party progress" by Timofey Klabukov on the decision of the Industrial Court of Izhevsk dated June 23 2015, in which Klabukov was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 Administrative Code (propaganda and demonstration of Nazi symbols).

Recall that the offense made by Klabukov publication on the social network Facebook of photos of public actions of parties - participants of the "Russian Conservative forum" organized by the party "Rodina" in St. Petersburg (while some of the people in the photographs were holding flags with swastikas). The activist reprinted this material to demonstrate the danger of right-wing organizations invited by the Rodina party to Petersburg with the knowledge of the authorities.

We consider the decision of the court unlawful. From our point of view, informing citizens about the activities of organizations, including those banned or simply dangerous, should not be subject to anti-extremist legislation, if it is not of a propaganda nature.
