Ukraine appeals the verdict Sentsov in the ECHR

The Ukrainian side will send to the European Court of Human Rights the fourth lawsuit against Russia, including in connection with its violations, the right to justice of Ukrainian citizens, Interfax writes with reference to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenia Yatsenyuk.

“The Government of Ukraine has decided regarding the fourth lawsuit today to the European Court of Human Rights against the Russian Federation. This is Ukraine’s lawsuit against Russia, part of this claim is also a violation of the right to justice, namely a violation of the right of Mr. Sentsov and other Ukrainian citizens, ”Yatsenyuk said.

Yesterday, Sentsov was found to be guilty of the preparation of terrorist attacks in Crimea in 2014 and sentenced to 20 years in prison in a strict regime colony. Kolchenko, who was in the same case, received 10 years in a maximum security colony.
