Voronezh resident convicted of publishing an anti-Semitic post on VKontakte

Resident of Voronezh sentenced to 120 hours of compulsory labor for publication of an anti-Semitic video on VKontakte. On August 25, 2015 it became known that Zheleznodorozhny The district court of Voronezh convicted a 23-year-old local resident Grigory Safonov. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity).

According to the investigation and the court, in April 2014 Safonov published on his page "VKontakte" a video file aimed at inciting hatred towards Jews.

He was sentenced to 120 hours of compulsory work.
