The current state of affairs in the quasi -states of the DPR and LPR can be characterized by the Shchedrin phrase: "Good people of bloodships were expected from him, and he ate Chizhik." A month ago, the media, analysts and the general public awaited a new stage of hostilities. The shooting went around the entire front almost like in February, and the press daily flowed about the plans of both sides soon to go on the offensive. What do we see now? Poroshenko announces that at the front a whole week is peacefully more than ever, and from the DPR they report on the detention and forced resignation of the chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Andrei Purgin and the selection of the head of the Parliament apparatus Alexei Alexandrov.

Are this news related to each other? How! We will do without a banal maxim of revolution devouring our children, and try to understand the situation.

What do we know about Andrei Purgin? Like many other leaders of pro -Russian militants - few. A forty -year -old native of Donbass, a full of bearded man, he seemed to study in the Donetsk Polytechnic, then traded in a claw shop. It is known that in the mid-2000s he became one of the first propagandists of the Donetsk People’s Republic project. This was the last representative of ideological separatists in the leadership of the DPR and LPR. Purgin did not want to put up with the Minsk agreements and obviously did not agree with how their implementation went over the past months.

Even less is known about Alexei Alexandrov. This middle-aged man, very similar in speeches and posture to a retired political officer, was among active Russian nationalists in Donetsk. Until the spring of 2014, he was the editor -in -chief of the Russian World - Ukraine publication and was among the hot fans of the Russian publicist Alexander Dugin. Unlike the “just separatist” Purgin, Alexandrov now appears in his rare public speeches as a person of national-socialist views. He insists on the continuation of the revolution, the fight against "Ukrainians" as an idea, leaving the oligarchs and the continuation of the attack on the southern regions of Ukraine.

Like Purgin, Aleksandrov, before last summer, held high positions in the so -called DPR government, but then both were thrown out of bread places to prestigious but nominal posts in parliament. This happened after the displacement of the speaker Boris Litvinov, convicted in the conspiracy to overthrow the "Prime Minister" of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko. At the beginning of this year, Litvinov was released from arrest and disappeared from the field of view of journalists.

In mid -July, I wrote that ordinary militants and soldiers of the Russian army were experiencing fatigue and disappointment from the war. This, in my opinion, explained the gradual territorial concessions from the separatists who no longer had physical resources to keep the front line, and therefore went to create various neutral zones, or even the direct surrender of the most shot by Ukrainian military positions.

In the following weeks, it might seem that my analysis is incorrect: the shootings resumed with a much greater intensity. However, the tension soon subsided, and in early September, the God of God crawled out and completely amazing details. It turns out that the most combat commanders of the DPR held Augustus (not very clear, by their own free will) in the Rostov region. And the LPR already outlines the specific terms (in November) of the transfer of control over the border of the Ukrainian side. And some reputable field commanders publicly advise their supporters who want to return to Russia to start gathering things. And all this against the background of the Minsk agreements of the legislative initiatives of Poroshenko on decentralization.

And here, of course, not the final, but a loud chord: the two most influential political opponents of Minsk in the DPR are subjected to repression. One of them - Aleksandrova, who apparently has Russian citizenship - the Dnrovsky gabists just wanted to leave in Russia so that they did not interfere under their feet and did not dirty the little things (this is suspected of recent “ plum ” of documents exposing the criminal business of the Donetsk elite).

All this, in my opinion, suggests that the idea of ​​transforming the LDNR into the "Great Transnistria" has long discussed by experts acquires real outlines. Putin seems to lose interest in the uninteresting, politically dangerous and expensive toy and switches to new acute entertainments. In the media and social networks, not the fate of the boring and little -known wide public of Purgin, but information about the participation of the Russian military in hostilities in Syria , is now being discussed. It is likely to become a new hit of the Russian Internet. After all, neither the difficult but relatively peaceful life of the dilapidated Donbass, nor the fate of the former leaders of the "anti -fascist" parliament, spitting out the remains of the teeth "on the basement", are not interested in the public.
