The court found him guilty under Part 2 of Art. 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (deliberate public desecration of a religious or liturgical literature, objects of religious veneration, signs or emblems ideological symbols and paraphernalia) and sentenced to a fine of 30 thousand rubles.
The man is charged with posting on the VKontakte social network “ a series of images that carried a mockery of the sacred institution of monasticism, as well as of the sacred images of the Last Supper, saints and the Savior ”, as well as images “ aimed at to discredit the Christian doctrine, church traditions of religious life (worship of relics and veneration of saints), as well as the very institution of the Church .”
The accused pleaded guilty.
