The prosecutor's office of Taganrog is checking the release of the show "95 quarter".
On October 2, 2015, it became known about the check for the presence signs of extremism in one of the episodes of the Ukrainian humorous TV show "Kvartal 95", hosted by the prosecutor's office of Taganrog.
The passenger of the intercity bus appealed to the prosecutor's office Sevastopol - Volzhsky, outraged that during the trip the driver put passengers a video in which " they scolded the annexation of Crimea to Russia, ... mocked over the refugees from the Southeast, ... gargled the privacy of our president ."
We are celebrating this episode because it appears to be clearly illustrates the social atmosphere in today's Russia, where everything that goes contrary to the official point of view, which in the minds of many citizens becomes "extremist". "Extremism" has actually become a synonym for everything inconvenient, unpleasant and does not fit into the "approved from above" picture of the world.
We also recall that the decision of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of Russia on the application of the law on the media specifically states that " the humorous and satirical genre, protected by Article 10 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, allows a great degree of exaggeration and even provocation, provided that society does not misled as to the factual side of the matter ."
