
Judge of the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol Olga Kuznetsova arrested in absentia in absentia, the chairman of the Medzhlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov in the case of public calls for separatism, excited against him in May. The politician living in exile in Kiev reported this on his Facebook page, giving faxesmile a package of documents received by him from Crimea.
As follows from the documents, the decision of Kuznetsova was submitted on October 6 at the request of the FSB Office for the annexed Crimea and Sevastopol, which is conducting the case. The interests of the head of the Majlis were represented by an appointed lawyer Alexei Leonov. The arrest of Chubarov was appointed for a period of two months from the date of his extradition to Russia or detention in Russian territory.
At the same time, lawyer Leonov appealed the choice of a preventive measure to the "Supreme Court" of Crimea.

Chubarov demanded from law enforcement agencies of Ukraine to initiate criminal cases against the investigator, prosecutor and judge Kuznetsova, who participated in the decision on his absentee arrest. At the same time, he stated the absence of claims to the lawyer Leonov, explaining that "the Russian legal system puts the appointed lawyer in an almost hopeless situation."
"I received the documents of the occupation authorities, testifying to the legal lawlessness committed by the Russian Federation in the territory of Crimea temporarily occupied by it in relation to citizens of Ukraine and me personally, will be sent to the European Court of Human Rights, which I had previously filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation," the head of the Majlis concluded.
Later on Wednesday, according to Interfax, the “prosecutor” of Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya said that a five -year ban on entry into Russia, which was imposed in July 2014, was lifted from Chubarova. When asked by the journalist whether information about the correspondence arrest of the head of the Mejlis is true, the official refused to answer, citing the secret of the investigation. At the same time, she noticed that politics could be detained when entering the peninsula, "if the investigator sees the foundation for this."
The opening of the case against Chubarov became known on May 29 . Politics was imputed part 2 of Article 280.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (public calls for separatism through the media), which provides for up to 5 years in the colony.
According to the security forces, the head of the Mejlis is charged that in April 2015, he, acting on the air of the Ukrainian media, "publicly called for violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation."
