On October 29, 2015, the Moscow District Military Court, at an off-site hearing in Ufa, sentenced Ufa social activist Robert Zagreev to three years in a maximum security colony. He was found guilty under Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public justification of terrorism). The state prosecution previously asked the court to impose a similar punishment on him.
Let us recall that, according to the investigation, R. Zagreev published on the Internet portals “Revinform” and “Social Network Nabat” an article by Airat Dilmukhametov “Akhir Zaman” (“The End of the World”). In March 2015, Airat Dilmukhametov was sentenced to three years in prison in a maximum security colony by the Kirov Court of Ufa under Art. 205.2 CC.
The case of Robert Zagreev was separated into separate proceedings, since, according to unofficial data, during the investigation the publisher was in Ukraine, and returned to Ufa for a short period due to the expiration of his foreign passport. He was detained in April 2015.
In April 2011, R. Zagreev was alreadyconvicted under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities), Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code and Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of national and religious hatred) for 3.5 years in prison.
