On November 13, 2015, in Chuvashia, a resident of the village of Verkhnee Timercheevo was sentenced to compulsory labor for distributing a xenophobic video on the Internet.
On November 13, 2015, the Yalchik District Court passed a sentence on a 53-year-old resident of the village of Verkhnee Timercheevo, Komsomolsk District. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity). He was sentenced to 300 hours of compulsory work.
The Batyrevsky MCO of the Investigative Committee of the ICR for Chuvashia investigated that in September 2013 a man posted a video file on a social network on the Internet, "the content of which is aimed at inciting ethnic hatred, enmity and discord ."
The verdict of the court has not entered into force.
