A case of xenophobic materials on the Internet has been brought to court in Murmansk

In November 2011, in Murmansk, the case against Aleksey Kurochkin was brought to court for xenophobic materials on the Internet.
In November 2011, the prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district of Murmansk approved the indictment in the criminal case against Alexei Kurochkin.

He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity).

According to the materials of the case, Kurochkin repeatedly posted in open access on the Internet "images with inscriptions", which, according to the expert's conclusion, "contained linguistic and psychological signs of incitement to violent actions against a group of persons identified by nationality and race."

Photos and images were copied by the offender from other sites on the Internet.

The criminal case was sent to the Oktyabrsky District Court of Murmansk for consideration on the merits.
