Irkutsk: convicted under Art. 280 amnestied

In November 2015, an indictment was issued in Irkutsk. sentence under Art. 280 of the Criminal Code against local resident Artem N., who was released from punishment in connection with the amnesty.

On November 17, 2015, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Irkutsk issued a verdict in the case of public calls for extremism (part 1 of article 280 of the Criminal Code).

In the dock was a local resident Artem N., who was accused of having published in February 2014 on the pages of open groups in the social network "VKontakte" some messages that, according to data law enforcement agencies were qualified as extremist.

The court found the young man guilty and sentenced to 1 year conditional imprisonment. In connection with the announcement of an amnesty from punishment, the defendant was released.
