In early December 2015, the Kaluga city prosecutor's office announced that a court had found a video posted on the Internet to be extremist. During the prosecutor's check, it was discovered that the user "Skin Head" posted a video file "format 18" on the social network "VKontakte".
According to a linguistic study, the video file "contains information that ... excites hatred and enmity." The prosecutor of the city of Kaluga filed a lawsuit to recognize the video file as extremist material.
The demands of the prosecutor were satisfied by the court in full.
A copy of the court decision was sent to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the Kaluga Region for inclusion of the “format 18” video file in the Federal List of Extremist Materials. Sources
