The prosecutor's office of the Chelyabinsk region brought to court the case of five local residents accused of collaborating with Hizb ut-Tahrir. Them incriminated, in particular, participation in terrorist activities and preparing to take over.
December 10, 2015 Prosecutor's Office of the Chelyabinsk Region announced the approval of the indictment against five people. locals Salavat Khabirov, Alfred Shaimov, Rinat Shamsutdinov, Orifjan Mirov and Radik Kabirov are accused of collaborating with Hizb ut-Tahrir. They are charged with hch. 1, 2 art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization and participation in the activities of an extremist organizations), hh. 1, 2 art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization and participation in the activities terrorist organization) and Part 1 of Art. 30, art. 278 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation for violent seizure of power or violent retention of power).
According to investigators, in 2013 they organized Chelyabinsk, a structural unit of Hizb ut-Tahrir, headed by became S. Khabirov. All together they held meetings, studied the literature of this organizations to bring in new people.
For consideration on the merits, the criminal case was transferred to Moscow District Military Court.
