In the Kirov region, a criminal case on insult religious feelings. The suspects are two local residents who hung an effigy on worship cross.
On December 16, 2015, it became known about the initiation of a criminal cases against two residents of the Vyatskopolyansky district of the Kirov region. They suspected under Part 1 of Art. 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public actions expressing a clear disrespect for society in order to offend the religious feelings of believers).
According to the investigation, on the night of September 23, 2015, they arrived from the city of Sosnovka to the village of Staraya Malinovka and hung on a bow cross stuffed animal, for the manufacture of which they used "trousers, a jacket, ropes, a hat, mask and screws " , as well as dry grass. It was done as expected investigation, by prior agreement, in order to offend the feelings of Christians.
From our point of view, the actions of the suspects did not pose a public danger. It would be legitimate to qualify them as an administrative offense, but not as a criminal offence.
