In Voronezh, a follower of Jehovah's Witnesses was arrested for ten days

A resident of Voronezh was arrested under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

21 December 2015 it became known that Kominternovsky the district court of Voronezh sentenced follower of Jehovah's Witnesses to ten days of administrative arrest under Art. 20.29 Administrative Code (production and spread of extremist materials, as well as their storage for the purposes of distribution). Reportedly, this is the first time in Voronezh that an administrative penalty has been imposed on an "active member of a religious organization."

According to the Voronezh department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a member of the local organizations of Jehovah's Witnesses kept in the garage "literature extremist orientation." In total, 66 books and brochures were confiscated from him, while it is not known whether all seized materials are prohibited.

Recall we regard the ban on the literature of "Witnesses Jehovah" and the persecution of believers for extremism as religious discrimination.
