Perm: another fine for “Miracles of the Koran”

In November 2015, a resident of Perm was fined for distributing the film "The Miracles of the Quran" which was wrongly recognized as extremist.

On December 22, 2015, the prosecutor's office of the Leninsky district of Perm reported that a user of the social network VKontakte named Mansur Akhmadov was fined for distributing extremist material (Article 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

The corresponding decision was issued by the Leninsky District Court of Perm on November 18, 2015. It follows from it that Akhmadov was fined 1,000 rubles for posting on the social network the film "Miracles of the Koran", recognized as extremist by the Nefteyugansk City Court on April 7, 2011 and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials under number 873. The defendant admitted guilt, although he stated that he did not know that the video was recognized as extremist.

From our point of view, the film "Miracles of the Quran" was unlawfully recognized as extremist (our position is detailed here ). However, Russian courts have repeatedly punished citizens for its distribution, including in Perm .
