The Russian Orthodox Church has found a replacement for Fr. Vsevolod Chaplin

The Patriarch replaced the dismissed Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin with publicist Alexander Shchipkov.

On January 5, 2016, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' appointed publicist Alexander Shchipkov as acting first deputy chairman of the Synodal Department for Relations of the Church with Society and the Media. His area of ​​responsibility will include issues of interaction with authorities and public organizations.

Let us recall that earlier the Synod dismissed Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin from the post of head of the Synodal Department for Relations between the Church and Society, merging this department with the Information Department.
