A mosque was desecrated in Crimea

In Crimea, unidentified persons painted the wall of a mosque. On the night of January 10, 2016, unknown people desecrated the mosque in the village of Ai-serez in the Sudak region of Crimea.

On the restored wall of the building vandals depicted an obscene drawing and crossed out image of Tamga Geraev (a generic sign of the Geraev dynasty that ruled the Crimean Khanate, used today by the Crimean Tatars as a national symbol). Thus, the action, apparently, was not only anti-Muslim, but also anti-Tatar.

The believers contacted the police, and an investigation was launched.
