Activists of "Rubezh Sever" appealed the verdict

In early January 2016, it became known that Dmitry Ilchukov and Denis Polyakov, members of the Frontier of the North movement, had appealed the verdict in the Komi Republic. On December 8, 2015, they were sentenced by the Syktyvkar city court to 3.6 and 3.1 years in a penal colony. Aleksey Kolegov, leader of Frontier of the North, did not appeal against the verdict.
On January 9, 2016, in the Komi Republic, lawyer Anton Kosyrev, who defended the leader of the Frontier of the North, Alexei Kolegov, announced that his client would not challenge the verdict. On December 8, 2015, the Syktyvkar court sentenced the leader of the leader movement "Frontier of the North" Alexei Kolegov to four years in prison freedom for torture with the use of torture as part of a group by prior arrangement. Two convicts in the same case appealed the verdict: Dmitry Ilchukov, who was sentenced by the court to three and a half years in a penal colony, and Denis Polyakov, who received three years and one month in prison. The victims involved in the case and the public prosecutor agreed with the court's verdict.

Aleksei Kolegov has been held in custody for nine months.

Recall that Kolegov and his "comrades-in-arms" were convicted under paragraphs. "d", "e" and "h" part 2 of Art. 117 UK (torture committed with the use of torture by an organized group, according to motive of hatred or enmity towards a certain social group), Part 1 Art. 119 (threat to kill), part 4 of Art. 150 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (involvement juveniles in committing crimes as part of a criminal groups, as well as the commission of crimes motivated by hatred or enmity in regarding a certain social group) and Part 2 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism, committed by a group of people). In 2014, Kolegov organized several actions as part of the Occupy Pedophilia project. 22 April, two activists of the movement purchased two cans of blue and yellow flowers and in the evening poured paint over the monument to Lenin on Stefanovskaya Square in Syktyvkar.
