Severodvinsk: Fine for xenophobic materials on the social network VKontakte

At the beginning of January 2016, the verdict against the worker of JSC "PA "Sevmash" entered into force.

The court passed a sentence under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred) and Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activity). The man was sentenced to a fine of 25 thousand rubles.

According to the case file, from February 2013 to March 2015, the convict posted on his personal page on the VKontakte social network "calls for extremist activities, as well as materials aimed at humiliating human dignity and inciting hatred."
