In Belgorod, the case of public calls for extremism and terrorism on social networks was sent to court

In early January 2016, the prosecutor's office of the Belgorod region sent to court a criminal case on public calls for extremist and terrorist activities.

In early January 2016, the Deputy Prosecutor of the Belgorod Region approved the indictment against an 18-year-old resident of the city of Belgorod. He is charged under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities) and part 1 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public calls for terrorist activities).

According to investigators, on July 15, 2014, a 16-year-old young man posted in the public domain on his personal website "material containing calls to commit crimes motivated by ideological hatred or enmity (within the ideology of Nazism)". And on September 30, 2014, he was in the same place "material containing a call for the implementation of terrorist activities."

The criminal case was sent to the Moscow District Military Court for consideration on the merits.
