In Sevastopol, the court extended the arrest of Ruslan Zeitullaev and Rustem Vaitov, Muslims suspected of collaborating with Hizb ut-Tahrir.
On January 14, 2016, the Sevastopol City Courtagain extended the arrest of Ruslan Zeitullaev and Rustem Vaitov, suspected of involvement in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
The arrest period has been extended until March 22.
The men were detained by FSB officers at the end of January 2015, and a criminal case was opened against them and two other Muslims ( Nuri Primov and Ferat Sayfullaev) under Part 2 of Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in a terrorist organization).
Let us remind you that we believe that accusing members of Hizb ut-Tahrir of promoting terrorism only on the basis of party activities (holding meetings, reading literature, etc.) and prosecuting them under anti-terrorism articles is unlawful.
