What happened (23.01 - 29.01)

Great news! On January 29 , a decision was made to parole Alexander Margolin , sentenced to three and a half years in prison in the Bolotnaya case. If the prosecutor's office does not appeal the decision, then in early February Margolin will be free. Meanwhile, another defendant in this case, Dmitry Buchenkov, was left in custody until June , although the court was presented with the results of a portrait examination proving that the person in the photographs from Bolotnaya, whose actions the investigation attributes to Buchenkov, is not him.

In Sochi, the police are investigating the gathering of pensioners on January 15, who blocked the highway, opposing the abolition of travel benefits, and continue to call local activists for questioning , including those who, in their own words, had nothing to do with the gathering.

Detentions

On January 26, members of the Yabloko party and the Progress Party were detained near the presidential administration. Someone was already standing with a single picket against the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, someone was just about to stand up, but protocols were issued for all of them about participation in an uncoordinated action.

And again, the participants of a single picket at the Zhukov monument were detained - the protest action takes place every Saturday and rarely occurs without the participation of the police. As a rule, this happens after provocations from pro-Kremlin movements. This happened on January 23, this time three were detained . And on January 27, the court made a decision on the previous detention on Manezhnaya Square, fining Irina Yatsenko 10 thousand rubles. She spoke colorfully about her impressions of the trial .

Legislative disorder

The Duma proposes to remove articles on beatings and threats of murder from the Criminal Code ( the corresponding bill is recommended for adoption in the first reading ), but to toughen the punishment for participants in mass riots and people who incite hatred or enmity - to confiscate their property (however, the government has already responded to this project is negative). In addition, they want to include in the administrative code a special fine of up to 40 thousand rubles for interfering with the work of the election commission: the authors of the bill do not hide that this measure should be directed against election observers.

Absurd

In Dagestan, on January 24, a car rally in support of Putin and Kadyrov was blocked . The reason for this could be the portraits of the former head of the republican branch of the Pension Fund, Sagid Murtazaliev, who was put on the international wanted list in the case of financing terrorism and organizing attempted murders.

In Chelyabinsk, a fine was left in force for a local resident for posting on social networks with a still from a comedy about Nazis on the Moon.

The artist Pyotr Pavlensky, against whom a case was opened for setting fire to the door of the FSB building, was transferred from the pre-trial detention center to the Serbsky Center for Social and Forensic Psychiatry for a psychiatric examination. It was supposed that it was there that an off-site hearing would take place on another Pavlensky case - about an action involving burning tires in St. Petersburg - but it turned out that the Serbsky Institute was closed for quarantine.

On the evening of January 27, foreign currency borrowers of DeltaCredit Bank, demanding the restructuring of their loans, without obtaining a meeting with the bank’s management, blocked Tverskaya Street . At least two were detained. We managed to contact one of them: it turned out that he was kept in the police department all night without food, and, when released, his passport was not returned so that he could not skip court.

On the same day, in the Basmanny court, where the new defendant in the Bolotnaya case, Dmitry Buchenkov, had his arrest extended until June, one person was detained for applause .
