Residents of Khabarovsk demand to suspend the process of allocating land for the construction of a mosque and an Islamic cultural center in the Zheleznodorozhny district of the city.

On January 28, 2016, it became known that activists of the Khabarovsk branch of the Russian All-People's Union party began collecting signatures against the construction of a mosque in the Zheleznodorozhny district of the city.

According to activists, the residents of the area they interviewed knew nothing about the construction of the mosque and did not approve of the construction.

The collected signatures will be sent to the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory and the mayor of the city. The main demand of the protesters is to cancel the process of allocating a land plot and hold public hearings.

On February 9, 2016, it became known that 200 signatures had been collected in two weeks.
