Penza authorities intend to demolish an unregistered temple, belonging to the community of Greek Old Calendarists.
On February 16, 2016, it became known that the authorities of Penza intend to demolish an unfinished temple belonging to the monastic community of the Church of True Orthodox Christians of Greece (Lami or Kalliniki Synod). Demolition scheduled for 19 February.
The reason was the lack of official documents on building of the parish church. “The monastery remains safe and sound, and for parishioners, the community is going to start building a new church this summer, this time - officially registering the building,” wrote the bishop of this church, Nektariy yourself on Facebook.
Let us recall that earlier, by a court decision in Penza, was demolished the prayer house of the Mikhailovsky Monastery, which belonged to the jurisdiction of another Orthodox Church, . Sources
