Russian governors took the last place in the literacy rating of domestic officials, compiled by the State Institute of the Russian Language. A.S. Pushkin together with the Ministry of Communications. The results of the linguistic analysis of public speech by representatives of state authorities were published by the Rossiyskaya Gazeta .
According to the study of the Ministry of Communications, the speech of key newsmakers occupies half the airtime on television and radio. At the same time, the speech of politicians is in some way a guideline for ordinary citizens from the point of view of compliance with the norms of the Russian literary language. In addition, by the speech of individual politicians, the television and radio-assessor judges the level of literacy of representatives of state authorities as a whole, researchers indicate.
The material for the analysis was a video and audio interview with statesmen at different levels, which are a partially prepared or spontaneous public speech.
As a result, federal ministers - a coefficient of 9.4 turned out to be the most competent. The second position was taken by the State Duma deputies (6.4), who were very little worshiped by the heads of municipalities (6.3). The literacy coefficient of regional managers was much lower - only 2.3.
