An activist of the Union of the Just, accused of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir, was arrested in Dagestan.

The court in Makhachkala decided to detain a public activist Muhammad Magomedov, accused of terrorism and collaboration with Hizb ut-Tahrir".  

On February 25, 2016, the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala changed measure of restraint for an activist of the organization "Soyuz fair" to Muhammad (Khiramagomed) Magomedov from house arrest to detention.

M. Magomedov is charged under Art. 222 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons), Art. 282 (excitement hatred) and Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization). This is about involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir.

The UFSB insisted on changing the preventive measure.

Recall that we believe unlawful accusation of Hizb ut-Tahrir followers of terrorism only on the basis of party activities (holding meetings, reading literature, etc.).
