On March 1, 2016, the verdict of the Severodvinsk City Court against Alexander Rudakov, a 35-year-old worker of the defense shipbuilding enterprise, entered into force. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities).
The investigation and the court established that in 2014 the man posted in free access on his personal page on the VKontakte social network "extremist materials aimed at inciting extremist activities, as well as humiliating human dignity and inciting hatred."
The criminal case against Alexander Rudakov was being processed by the Regional Directorate of the FSB of Russia for the Arkhangelsk Region.
The court sentenced Rudakov to a fine of 35,000 rubles. In addition, the court exacted from the convicted procedural costs in the amount of 8,855 rubles.
