On March 8, 2016, vandals desecrated one of the graves and a memorial plaque on Jewish cemetery in Kaliningrad.
On March 8, 2016, visitors to the Jewish cemetery on Lithuanian shaft in Kaliningrad found the inscription "Death to the Jews" on one of the tombstones. In addition, the vandals left the inscription "Allahu Akbar" on the memorial plaque dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust.
Apparently, the act of vandalism took place on March 8.
Jewish community of the Kaliningrad region Sergei Sterlin said that the community in connection with incident sent requests to the Federal Agency for nationalities and to the Center for Combating Extremism of the Regional Directorate MIA. The police launched an investigation into the incident.
This cemetery has been attacked by vandals before. 2007 and 2008.
