On March 3, 2016, the Kalarsky District Court of the Trans-Baikal Territory sentenced Nikolai Maev, a resident of the village of Chara, to a fine of 100,000 rubles. N. Maev was convicted under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred, as well as humiliation of human dignity on the grounds of race and nationality).
According to the press service of the Federal Security Service for the Trans-Baikal Territory, he created a thematic group "Russian Security Corps" in one of the social networks, where he posted materials "aimed at inciting hatred (enmity) against people from the regions of the North Caucasus and Central Asia." In addition, he maintained contacts with representatives of the Right Sector organization and " planned to travel to the territory of Ukraine to participate in its activities ."
