A criminal case has been opened in Kalmykia in connection with the posting of videos on the Internet with elements of “religious” hatred

In Lagan (Kalmykia) a criminal case has been initiated in connection with the posting of videos on the Internet with elements of hatred against a group of persons identified on the basis of religious affiliation .

On March 15, 2016, it became known that a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred) in connection with the placement on the Internet of four videos containing " linguistic signs of inciting hatred towards a group of persons, singled out on the basis of religious affiliation .

These videos were posted on the social network "VKontakte" from January 14 to July 6, 2014 year by a user whose name is the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for The Republic of Kalmykia does not report.

The accused pleaded guilty and is under recognizance not to leave. The investigation into the case continues.
